As you know, Michelle Hall has been working at St. Columb Major Academy this year on a part-time basis as Associate Headteacher. As of September she will be taking up the post of Deputy Headteacher at Robartes Academy in Bodmin, broadening her leadership experience and lending her considerable skills to a school in very different circumstances to our own. As she will not be returning to St. Agnes next year, the Trust feels that it would be most beneficial if Michelle is based at St. Columb Major for the remainder of this year. This will also allow Emma Lawton to be our full time Deputy Headteacher from this point. Therefore and sadly, Michelle’s last day of work at St. Agnes will be on Friday 12th May.
Michelle has been at our school for over twenty years and during that time has worked tirelessly to ensure the best possible provision for all the children of our school. She is extremely well-liked and respected by all who work with her and we wish her all the very best for her future at Robartes.
Michelle will be hugely missed but leaves behind a legacy of hard work, high achievement and expectations and a school in which every child is valued as an individual.
I am sure many of you will have children who have been taught by Michelle; indeed, many of you may well have been Michelle’s pupils yourselves and will have very fond memories of her. We are planning to give Michelle a fitting leaving gift. If you would like to make a contribution, please do so at the office by Friday 12th May.
