Welcome to St Agnes ACE Academy Parent Teacher Association (St Agnes PTA). St Agnes PTA is a registered charity, run by parents, teachers and carers who arrange fundraising events throughout the academic year to raise money to enhance the educational experience of children attending the school. This year the main focuses of the fundraising are for the new library and the playground.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Please come along to one of our meetings. They are usually held at the start of every term. Dates are on the school calendar, the school newsletter and the PTA Facebook page. We welcome and actively encourage parents to attend any of these meetings.
If you would like to help out at any events or be included in our regular emails please email the PTA at firstname.lastname@example.org
Our current PTA group are Tamsin Ranson, Pippa Sandham and Marlene Clarke
Find us on facebook as St Agnes PTA http://facebook.com/stagnesPTA.
Information regarding upcoming events can be found on our facebook page, school noticeboard, school newsletters and book bag fliers (sent out in school book bag of the youngest sibling).
We hold various fundraising events throughout the year. Here are some examples:
Autumn Term – popcorn film clubs, Halloween disco, Eco Fair, selling tea towels and Christmas cards
Spring Term – Easter Disco, Pub Quiz, cake sales, popcorn film clubs

IMPACT OF PREVIOUS FUNDING
The PTA raise money to enhance the school experience for the children. Over the last academic year we funded coaches (for up to 2 trips per class as well as a choir trip), wet weather gear for year 1, a microscope, additional books for the library, tracksuit tops and football kit, 16 tablets and a charging trolley, Christmas presents for each class, a theatre trip for years 5&6 and recorders. We also funded workshops for the whole school.
Gift Aid fundraising
St Agnes PTA is now registered with HMRC for gift aid. This means we can claim tax back on donations including the disco and film night payments and any direct donations. We cannot claim tax back on any money given in exchange for goods (eg a raffle or cake/uniform sale).
Now that we are registered with gift aid we will occasionally try to raise money via direct donations for specific items for the school. Donors and individual amounts will not be published – a record will be kept for HMRC purposes only.
If you would like to contribute towards this, please let us know by emailing email@example.com.
